Wise Woman's Way:
A Guide to Growing Older with
Purpose and Passion
Berta Parrish, Ed.D, is an educator with over thirty-five years experience helping people create and maintain their dreams.
Specializing in the role of attitude and motivation in learning, she teaches college courses which enhance college success, reduce performance anxiety, and increase creativity through dreamwork. This fascination with the human mind and behavior lead her to a doctorate in education from the Arizona State University and graduate training in depth psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute, an interdisciplinary program that integrates the humanities with analytical and archetypal psychology.
In addition to teaching, she has written articles on spiritual journaling, women’s issues, and Wise Woman ceremonies for local and national magazines. As a contributing writer for Women’s Press, she introduces remarkable women in the “Unsung Heroine” column.
Berta is also a popular workshop leader offering Practical Jung, Dream Questing, Elder Tales, and Myths Woman Live By workshops for civic organizations, worship communities, Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes, and Grandmother Gatherings. She also offers Initiation to Wise Womanhood retreats to interested groups.
